Vocal cords colour changes

Change in colour for vocal cords, like whitening, even if doesn't bring troubles yet,

indicates energy disbalance in the region, for whitening this means the excess of Dryness

energy.

This may reflect energy imbalance in general and should be seen as a warning.

For example, growing excess of Dryness may indicate:

--- coming voice disfunction, shortage of vocal function of any sort

--- formation of vocal fold ulcers in the future

--- emotions of sadness, disappointment

Vocal cords mapping and treatment

Vocal cords may be mapped on the palm according to general principles

of Su-jok acupuncture:

Then, vocal folds (and for example ventricular folds) may be mapped
by points to treat by acu tools.

Points are in 6 Qi system (left) and Triorigin energies

(right), of course, points are situated symmetrically on both folds

for both systems.

This allows treatment for the whole mapped region if a disease

affects it, like:

1.inflammation, thickening 

2.vocal folds tension problems

3. Spasmodic disphonia

4. Vocal cord paresis (or paralysis)

etc.

The same to show better the position of points on the

palm.

 

Real location of folds and points needs examining the actual angle the folds form for a person when relaxed and when they are closed at singing.

There may be more detailed mapping the cords in zones corresponding to energies
in 6 or 8 Qi  and Triorigin:

This scheme will be useful to correct a wide range

of problems, because it links every zone along the vocal fold to an specific energy, and can easily give  acupuncture recipes to treat a particular disorder
located there.

For example:

1. local problems like a gap remaining in some region

at singing, when vocal folds are normally fully closed

2. local benign neoplasms, referred as widly spread type of disorders: polyps and especially vocal folds nodules.

3. contact granuloma the vocal folds ulcer

And  what Su-jok acupuncture may be special for, disorders of emotional origin.

Emotions have strong influence on voice; singers extensively use their vocal system and have especially developed links between emotions and vocal cords.

Every emotion can be linked to a specific energy like grief, sadness is harmful energy of Dryness and get treatment right on vocal folds zones (more in next posts).

Voice generation components treatment 2

In addition to the previous one may use the general approach, the healing "by 3 points".
 

For example one has found several sensitive/painful points on lungs (plus 1 on heart) zones.
The idea is to make perpendiculars to upper and lower joints and mark points there,
they also will be sensitive, and include them in treatment:

Joints are the cross-roads for energy paths and a place of energy concentration, so this links a local place/point to the general source of energy making healing faster and more effective.

Linking may be also done by horisontal lines from a point to the vertical lines:
1. going down on both sides of a phalange, at 9.00, 12.00, 15.00 and 18.00  if imagine a cross-section of the phalange as a clock face.

And vise versa, sensitive points on joints may help find the points on the organ's zone.

Voice generation components treatment

Su-jok can offer ways to treat and strengthen all parts involved in voice generation.

Below is the easiest and safest treatment via Organs Correspondence System

on fingers:

This system has clear mapping for

---diaphragm,

---lungs and bronchs

--- air path,

--- abdomen region,

--- pelvis region

what makes the air flow and determines

it's pressure, duration etc.

1.Diaphragm will be described in more details because of it's importance:

These schemes have diaphragm, green line, depending on the system

--- in Standard Insect system, at right, it is on 2-nd joint

--- in "finger root" system it is on the 1-st joint, the neck gets the whole

2-nd phanlange and allows mapping also of vocal cords.

Both have diaphragm on joint line which which allows treatment by acu points (like described in prevoius posts).

This mapping is on every finger (for both schemes) but for voice treatment everyone may use the finger of Dryness, the respiratory system -
index finger right hand.

Diaphragm for some reasons reflect the general state of body

so will display main energy problems and being one of major organs for singing, the particular problems in singing the singer has.

 Every energy /imbalance disruption or shortage in a region creates sensitive or even painful

points, so the idea is:

1. to find them by going around and pressing the joint line by smth like round tip of a pencil.

Then one can:

--- massage the points 

--- tape seeds/crystals like described in earlier posts

--- heat the points by a moxa cigar or simply by incense stick until a pleasant

warmth at the point ( plus pain usually subsides)

2.If the energy picture has been determined, like excess of Dampness+Dryness, lack of Burn

and so on, one may do treatment like described earlier for Joints System and meridians.

For example, treatment for "heaviness" of voice, not enough agility in virtuose passages

which is caused by excess of Dampness energy:

Scheme in 8 Qi,  points on joint line, sedation of Dampness (heaviness), tone up Wind (agility) and Heat ("development").

 This will also make one lose weight, if overweighted, because this is caused by general excess of Dampness energy in the body.

2.Finding sensitive points can be done for other zones of interest like pelvis, lungs, throat/larynx, going around with pencil and finding such points, treatment is the same.

Finally, Su-jok recommends to find such sensitive points for

---spinal column,

--- brain zone, on the finger above eyebrows on the image

as every developed disfunction also creates sensitive points there.

3. Head resonators work on will be described later.

Chest resonators are believed by many specialists to be bronchs.

Bronchs can be treated, besides the above massage, by acupuncture, to expand.

General scheme in energies:

Dryness---> Dryness: Hetero tone up

One has to also strengthen the bronchs tissue to keep their walls in good condition.

Each person has a pair of fingers best for treatment, and finger on left hand represents "structural" energies for lungs, bronchs etc, and finger on right hand - the "functional" energies. Thus one can direct action depending on what changes are needed.

Effective treatment of nose/throat/bronchs/lungs by "anticancer" remedy:

--- blackseed oil - 125 ml

--- blackseed, finely grinded - 135 g

Applied on the zone on the finger, for 0.5 to several hours, depending on the situation

and feelings.

Having main energy of Heat/Burn (expansion), besides antibacterial effect it also cleans and expands

bronchs, bronchioles and lungs matrix in general.

Besides, Burn energy is also disintegration, which eliminates polypus, condillomas, tumours
up to cancer.

It usually cleans nose air paths in munutes (tested many times).

Of course, it may also be used for ear infections.

4. Inner organs.

Every organ according to Chinese medicine produces it's sort of energy and the whole set of them

is that very "vital" energy. This is very valuable for practical use as allows to raise and balance body energy

in general and at the same time act on a particular energy responsible for a region or function.
This is essential for health in general and therefore for singers as having organs and systems healthy
and energetic they can perform at their best.

Organs and their energies

--- Liver+gall bladder - Wind energy

--- Heart/Small intestine - Heat energy

--- Spleen/pancreas/stomach - Dampness energy

--- Lungs/colon - Dryness energy

--- Kidneys/bladder - Cold energy.

Massage of organs in order: Kidneys--->Liver---> Heart--->Spleen+pancreas--->Lungs

("The Creative Cycle") will strengthen the whole body energy system and balance energies
at the same time.

When the lacking energy is determined, simple massage can:

1. strengthen the organ itself

2. raise this very energy production and it's amount in body which automatically

make the desired changes i.e. if there's Lungs energy insufficient, particular work on

Lungs/colon zones on the scheme.

5.There can be general treatment on boyl-chakras:

--- generally, for muscles involved in voice generation, and for chest region in particular,
the 4-th Wind chakra,

--- or depending on the region, 3-d for abdomen and 2-nd for pelvis

muscles.

--- alternatively, to make paths from 4-th chalkra to 3-d and 2-th as a sublevel

energies

but this is field for specialists.

Spiral Energy systems types

Spiral systems types as they occur in the body:

 1.On round zones like head, abdomen, palms, breasts one can found

a Concentric Spiral meridians Systems:

                                                                                     

2. On forearms, fingers, neck and the like there are Cylindrical Spiral meridians

Systems:

                                      

Both types are very effective for treatment (more in previous posts); concentric type

are the choice for deep-rooting, chronic, located deep in the body conditions, while

the cylindrical spiral systems are generally aimed at acute, located on periphery conditions,

like fast-developing brain haemorrage a result of car accident.

This is not a strict rule, as there's been an acute case of aplastic anemia  in my practice,

which has been treated in concentric spiral system on the palms and worked very well,

though the same acu recipe done on cylindrical spiral system on fingers phalange worked

somewhat faster.

There are many ways to choose the location for the spiral system for a particular case,

based on Triorigin body clasification, or 6 Qi energies:

1 - Wind: meridians of left calf or middle phalange of

middle finger left hand

2 - Heat: meridians of left forearm or middle phalange

of index finger left hand

3 - Burn: left-spinned meridians of the neck or the

first phalange of the thumb

4 - Dampness: like in 3 but right-spinned meridians

5 - Dryness: meridians of right forearm or middle phalange

of ring finger left hand

6 - Cold: meridians of right calf or middle phalange of

little finger left hand

The location may match the actual location of the disease, like in case of

abdomen disorders or breast cancer, spiral system on the breast:

Another way to choose meridians location, on the fingers according to the energy

of the organ affected or the energy of disease in 8 Qi classification, for example:

---  Wind - liver and gall bladder - the Wind finger, the little finger left hand

---  for Cold diseases - cancer - ring finger of right hand

i.e. may be a specific finger for all cancer cases.

Basic energy points - guidance

Location of points:

Points are about 3 mm in size and easy to found:
 on the palm:

3 - in the middle between 1 and 5
2 и 4 - at 1/3 of a distance to the nearest point 1 or 5
6 - equal distance between 5 and 7
on the outer side of the hand:
2 - equal distance between 1 and 3
5 - equal distance between 4 and 6

One can massage the points by smth like a round tip of a pencil but best is

moxibustion - heating by a special moxa cigar sold in acupuncture

and Chinese medicine shops, or a incense stick, even by a burning coal.
One may tie 2-3 incense sticks tied together for stronger heat flow.

The sequence of work:
--- for the palm - in the sequence from 1 to 7
--- on the outer side of a hand - in reverse order i.e. 6,5,4,...1.
One starts with left hand for men and right hand for women for the first session;

next time on another hand and so on alternating hands.

The cigar is hold above the point at a distance to give a constant flow of heat
not burning, until a pleasant warmth at the point.
One may heat all the points equal time, usually 20 to 30 sec, or a specific
time for each to get that feeling of warmth.
In some while one may get the feeling what particular points need treatment.

Basic energy points a great preventing tool

Moxibustion for the basic energy points is probably the best preventing cure for all ages.
These points are known to raise energy in the body thus raising

immunity in general; besides, they balance energies to help emotional problems.

Moxibustion is especially effective for all conditions caused by harmful energy

of Cold, i.e. the cold itself and seasonal flu for example (cancer also).

Will definitely be a good preventive for the swine or bird flu as here the action is not

on a particular type of virus but on the energy it thrives on and strengthening immune 

system at the same time.
Especially  valuable for children, "officially certified" for age 5 and older.

Self-treatment - tools

In brief:

1.Marking tne points by a colour pen. This "colours" the light radiating

on the particular point to the colour of the spot drawn thus determining

the type of action: red - usually (but not always!) tone up, blue - sedation,

green - harmonization.

The mildest method used for children.

2.Taping natural crystals or plant seeds onto. For the first, there's a specific

way the crystal alters ones energy at the point making it work for healing.

Plant seeds not only modulate the energy at the point but also give in the

energy stored inside for their growth making one generally stronger.

Very valuable methods for chronic conditions as the crystals/seeds work 24/7

so far they're attached to the skin. However the seeds are to be changed

for fresh ones after 12-24 hours, and crystals treated in salted water, 1 teaspoon
for a glass, 24 hours.

3.Small magnets. Their magn field not recognisable by a human begins
being felt (and for some very strongly - up to fainting) when atached onto

the acu point. South pole tones up, North -sedates. Sold in Su-jok

acu shops.

4. Moxibustion, heating of points, the most versatile and powerful tool (my opinion).

Indispensable in case of bad energy lack;  moxibustion of basic energy points

(earlier posts) is standard treatment for the first several Su-jok acu sessions.

Done by special moxa cigars or incense sticks or even by a piece of live coal.

Many techniques, thus only the simplest recommended for non-specialists.

Especially valuable for "Cold" diseases like, kidneys stones, traumas, cancer,

drug addiction

Spiral systems

In fact, the spiral meridians correspond to the Extraordinary meridians in classic acupuncture,

not having their own points and "borrowing" the points of the meridians they connect and

control. i.e. the classic meridians.

This allows higher level of action and healing, with particular effect of harmonization especially valuable

for dealing with fast-developing life-threatening conditions like brain heamorrage as a result of trauma
or those with a variety of manifestations and symptomes like endocrine disorders where it's hard
to cover all the aspects of the problem with even several standard schemes on boyl-meridians.

Spiral Neitro meridians systems and conventional boyl meridians

Have clear and distinct advantages in comparison
with widely used boyl-meridians, as it represents a highly-developed dense network consisting of vertical (similar to boyl-meridians), horisontal, and spiral subsystems.

The big advantage of this meridian system is that it works fast and very smooth at the same time

due to multiple connections and crossings between meridians as spiral meridians connect the

vertical and horizontal ones borrwing their points.

This has special value for cancer treatment as the bulk of negative cancer energy gets
immediately distributed over the whole vertical+horisontal+spiral system, leaving less chance
for it to keep rooting in some particular system and providing much less treatment stress for the
body, which is very important at last stages with bad lack of energy in general.

Ideas and general approaches of what Su-jok Onnuri acupuncture can do for singers and musicians. 
May be interesting for those practicing acupuncture, however I plan to make the stuff generally readable for all interested thanks to the main feature of Su-jok, providing much simpler healing schemes and points choice compared to the classic acupuncture and unique combination of universal approach and versatility.
